Marco Capitelli has over 25 years of industry experience and is president of MTech Mechanical. His passion for Design Build realization and developing trusting relationships has established MTech’s reputation as the region’s premier provider of mechanical systems. His leadership style aligns with company culture, endorsing and delivering a collaborative and inspiring approach.
Marco obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cogswell Polytechnical College, and is a founding partner of MTech. He is an active member of Design Build Institute of America (DBIA). He has a powerful understanding of the sales and preconstruction process, technical expertise, and ability to create long-standing client relationships. He always welcomes the opportunity to inspire team members and clients on the unique value of the Design Build delivery method, with an outcome to create a better experience.
Outside of MTech, Marco absorbs the Colorado landscape while skiing, cycling, hiking, and golfing.
Thomas Dean, Principal and Executive Vice President: Service, Finance and Human Resources
Thomas Dean
Principal and Executive Vice President: Service, Finance and Human Resources
Thomas oversees the service and maintenance, financial and human resources departments. As an MTech founder, he helped establish the company’s cultural values including integrity, open and honest communication, product excellence and fun.
Thomas obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University.
He is proud of MTech’s team members and their ability to seamlessly collaborate. He loves to talk to clients about MTech’s entire infrastructure of professionals that integrate and provide the company with the communication, financial and administrative support needed to be successful. He passionately advocates for continuous innovation at every level of the business. He has experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and labs and is a member of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers).
Thomas has been married for 35 years and has two adult children. He gravitates toward mechanical things including automotive and motorcycle racing. He enjoys competitive shooting sports, wilderness adventures and exploring.
Steve Kugler, Executive Vice President: Mountains and Construction, Operations and Manufacturing

Steve oversees the Construction and Mountain Departments. As one of MTech’s founders, he offers 35 years of local experience and a wealth of operational expertise. With his extensive experience in sales, engineering and construction, he ensures MTech delivers on project commitments. He is also instrumental in attracting, training and retaining key construction professionals.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado. He is an active member of Associated General Contractors (AGC). He enjoys giving back to the community through MTech’s projects.
In his spare time, Steve plays tennis and golf, snowboards and skis and likes to bike and hunt. He is an Elder at Mission Hills Church and is married with two daughters and two grandkids.

Roger founded MTech’s partner company Total Plumbing and Heating in 1980. Total Plumbing and Heating and MTech merged in 2014 and are able to offer both mechanical and plumbing services.
Roger is involved in MTech’s overall company management, supports the Special Projects group, plumbing design, preconstruction and operations.
His 40-plus years of experience and leadership style provide a strong complement to MTech’s executive team. As a Colorado Master Plumber, he is responsible for the integration of plumbing into MTech’s in-house services offering. He shares his company commitment with his son who works in the MTech CAD department.
Shawn Kennedy, Chief Financial Officer

Shawn oversees all financial, accounting and insurance functions for both MTech and Total Plumbing & Heating. He was previously MTech’s Vice President of Service and President of Total Plumbing & Heating.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Colorado State University.
Shawn enjoys working with like-minded, driven colleagues at MTech. He is passionate about doing the right thing, serving clients and empowering team members to make a difference at the company.
He is married with four children and is involved with his church and not-for-profit youth sports organizations.
John Falzone, Vice President: Construction
John Falzone

John has over 20 years of mechanical industry experience and has been with MTech since 2002. He oversees large-scale construction projects that include MTech’s preconstruction and project management teams.
He started his career as a sheet metal installer with his father who was a 30+ year sheet metal tradesman. That hands-on field experience navigate John toward the University of Colorado Boulder where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering.
John has experience in all phases of the commercial mechanical industry including engineering, preconstruction and project management. He is fulfilled by the never-ending learning opportunities of design-build mechanical contracting; no two projects are ever exactly alike. John is married with two boys (ages 10 and 12) who keep him engaged in year-round activities, has an odd desire to take on his own home remodeling projects and likes to ski as much as possible every winter.
Dan Adams, Vice President: Operations and Manufacturing

Dan has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry including 13 years at MTech. Under his guidance, MTech continues to grow quality products and execution teams and accomplish new strategic initiatives.
Dan began his career in the field and worked up through the company. He says he has “the best job in the company” because he oversees the internal operations and fabrication efforts for all projects first hand. He enjoys seeing new technologies being launched. He is passionate about creating lifelong relationships with clients as well as improving MTech’s mechanical business.
Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dan is a huge University of Michigan supporter. He loves to fish, hunt, camp and motorcycle. He has a son and a daughter, two grandchildren and at least one Labrador Retriever in the house at all times.
Tracy Alleman, Vice President: Finance

Tracy controls all aspects of MTech’s financial activities from accounting and reporting to budgeting and strategy. She has 22 total years of financial experience. Her attention to detail and understanding of construction accounting help maintain MTech’s sterling financial reputation.
Tracy received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska and is active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). She grew up on a farm in South Dakota where discipline and shared hard work ensured success.
She values MTech’s culture, her colleagues and our welcoming working environment. A proponent of getting involved, she started the company’s Community Service Committee. She lives in a Cohousing community in north Denver with her husband, son, daughter and two cats.
Mark Keenan, Vice President: Mountain Operations

Mark leads MTech’s western slope satellite office operations in a market comprised of larger commercial, healthcare, institutional and resort projects. He has lived in the mountains for 20 years and worked for 40 years in the mechanical industry. He genuinely understands the unique challenges of delivering mechanical service offerings to rural and often remote western Colorado clients.
Mark started his career as a commercial pipe fitter. He received his Master of Science certification in Steam and Hot Water Theory from Empire Institute of Technology. He later acquired knowledge and skill in project management, estimation and construction management.
He volunteers at the local 4-H County Extension as a shooting sport instructor. In his spare time, Mark enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his wife and two sons.

Mark leads the Special Projects team in providing a turn-key approach for quick and technical projects. He taps into 19 years of experience in engineering, preconstruction and project management. He has worked in a variety of industries, focusing on end-users and their technical requirements.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and participates in several organizations including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
Mark relishes building healthy relationships at MTech and having a positive influence on the construction industry. He believes in the Design-build construction philosophy because early project team collaboration results in the most successful project outcome for MTech’s customers.
Mark married 15 years ago and has a son and a daughter. After work, he chases kids around to soccer and other activities. He camps with his family, hunts, fly fishes and enjoys tackling the slopes on a mountain bike, skis or a snowboard.
Kevin Madigan, Vice President: Service
Kevin Madigan

A highly-valued MTech team member since 2011, Kevin oversees the MTech Service and Total Plumbing & Heating Service Departments which includes both commercial and residential business.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Ohio and has focused on Design-Build Mechanical Contracting for most of his career. He is a member of: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); Associated General Contractors (AGC); U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC); Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
Kevin values learning from his fellow team members at MTech. Intriguing technical challenges and the “almost unlimited” opportunities to grow personally and professionally at work motivate him to pursue excellence daily.
He is passionate about cycling, skiing, basketball and traveling, but his favorite pastimes are spending time with his wife Theresa and their two-year-old daughter and visiting family in Ohio.
