In-House Engineering
MTech Mechanical is one of the only mechanical contractors in Colorado to have in-house mechanical and plumbing engineers to provide innovative and practical design solutions to meet your project needs. We work effectively with project teams to ensure design quality and code compliance and coordinate well with other trades. Our integrated team approach, early guarantee and single-source responsibility enable us to deliver superior design and construction on time and within your budget.
Our licensed, LEED certified, in-house engineers are available to collaborate and share resources. Our team members will address your questions and concerns and can communicate the scope and budget of your project at any time. They take pride in delivering the highest quality designs and most efficient systems for your unique building or process system.

Preconstruction
You can rely on MTech’s in-house engineering team to create quality design concepts for your unique project. During pre-construction, we establish the scope and budget of your build while planning superior engineering value.
Outlining the mechanical scope and associated costs of your project early in the process allows our team to make critical decisions about the mechanical systems we will implement. Our philosophy and team approach during preconstruction creates a platform for clear communication with the building owner, architect, and contractors to meet and exceed your expectations.

Procurement
Choosing the correct delivery method for your project is essential. Our knowledgeable team members can help you make the decision that best benefits your project.
Design-Build
MTech is a highly engaged member of the Rocky Mountain Region DBIA Chapter. The traditional U.S. project delivery method, which customarily involves three sequential project phases: design, procurement, and construction. The traditional U.S. project delivery method, which typically involves three sequential project phases: The design phase, which requires the services of a designer who will design the project; the bid phase, when a contractor is procured; and a build or construction phase, when the project is built by the contractor. This sequence usually leads to the sealed bid, fixed price contract. The advantages of this delivery method are:
A streamlined process and early collaboration
- A single point of responsibility
- Improved project quality
- Earlier knowledge of guaranteed costs
- Schedule commitment
- Cost and time savings
- Improved risk management
- Enhanced project performance through partnering
Design-Assist
In a Design-Assist project, the design team and the construction team are hired separately. We collaborate to ensure the design intent and constructability of the system agree. The benefits of Design-Assist are:
- A streamlined process and early collaboration
- Ample checks and balances for the owner between design team and the construction team
- The ability to make early changes in plans and coordination efforts
- Detailed construction schedules
- Discussions addressing value engineering and constructability throughout the design phase
- Allowing the Engineer of Record to ultimately make final design decisions
Integrated Project Delivery
During Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) we enter into a single, multi-party contract with the owner, construction team and possibly additional parties. The contracting parties form a team that is jointly responsible for both the definition of the project and the management of the process. The benefits of this method are:
- Full owner participation and ability to be the ultimate decision maker when parties cannot agree
- Active collaboration and full communication among the owner, construction team and designer
- Incentive compensation structures
- Appropriate limitations of liability for the design and construction team
Design-Bid-Build
During a Design-Bid-Build project, we examine plans and specifications to determine your resource needs and create a design to your specifications. This method allows us to work with contractors, architects and engineers to:
- Anticipate possible issues
- Avoid change orders
- Provide cost-effective solutions
BIM/Virtual Construction
Building Information modeling (BIM) offers much more than traditional CAD design. MTech’s fabrication shop uses advanced software to create intelligent, interactive models that simulate real-world design using 3-D BIM. MTech has 15 experts on our team to meet your needs. We use the latest version of Revit, AutoDesk and Navisworks software.
As a mechanical contractor, MTech leads the coordination effort between teams on each project. BIM allows us to:
Provide creative, accurate building solutions
- Eliminate waste and errors and avoid change orders
- Communicate more easily with all project teams
- Resolve jobsite disagreements with other trades
- Deliver Requests for Information (RFI) more efficiently
- Offer clients a complete, as-built digital reference model post-construction
